A Ukrainian soldier was killed in Donbas during shellings on Sunday, with another seriously injured and three more receiving minor injuries.
Russian-backed militants attacked Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation positions 18 times, in 13 cases using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.
“The defending units take active measures, in particular, respond with fire to the militants, in order to prevent the enemy from breaking through Ukrainian positions, maintaining positions and preserving the lives of JFO servicemembers. Every enemy fire was responded to adequately,” the JFO said this morning.
According to intelligence, three Russian-backed militants were killed and four wounded.
The militants had used mortars, infantry fighting vehicle weapons, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms to attack Ukrainian positions near Crymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Avdiivka, Novotroitske, Pavlopil, Vodiane, Hnutove, and Lebedynske.
