37 Dead in Magnitogorsk Gas Blast
Four people are still missing
The number of dead from the collapse of a building in Russia’s southern Ural following a gas explosion continues to grow.
The explosion Monday took down a 10-story residential building in downtown Magnitogorsk, Ukrinform reported.
“As of 6:25 a.m., since the beginning of the search and rescue operation, six people have been pulled out from the rubble alive, among the rescued are two children. 37 more were reported to be dead. Among them were six children,” the Russian Emergency Service statement reads.
While all the recovered injured have been taken to a hospital four more are still missing.
