Passengers Rates at Borispol Continue to Lift Off

Last month "Boryspil" International Airport carried 21 percent more than January last year



There were 897,195 passengers going through Borispol Airport in January – 14 percent more than in the same month of 2018 – when there were 789,460.

Out of that, 766,312 regular passengers were serviced, 21 percent more than last year. The number of passengers on charter flights was 130,883 people, PTS reported.

At the same time, the number of transfer passengers increased by nearly 12 percent – 235,816 people in January. The share of transfer passengers decreased slightly compared to the first month of last year – 26.3 percent in Jan. 2019 versus 26.7 percent in Jan. 2018.

Over the 12 months of 2018, Boryspil served 12,603,271 passengers.

Meanwhile this month, passenger traffic at Lviv airport increased by  48.5 percent and at  Kharkiv Airport by 20 percent.
