Brass Band Music Festival in Khmelnytskyi

Over 200 participants from all over Ukraine took part

The 3-day Art Major Show in Khmelnytskyi featured live music, brass band battles, and majorette marches.

Over 200 participants from Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv, Kyiv, and Odesa took part in the festival which started Thursday and ended Saturday. Some even came from as far as neighboring Hungary. Crowds lined the streets to see colorful orchestral shows.

“We are performing Ukrainian compositions today. These are Ukrainian march and Hopak, written by Aram Khachaturian, as well as two rock compositions. Our souls sing when we listen to brass music. The amphitheater, boasting over a thousand seats, was installed in the city center specifically for the festival,” National police orchestra conductor Volodymyr Sydorchuk said.

In the evenings, the audience watched theatrical shows with local troupes performing among others.
