Central Elections Commission Increases Budget for Presidential Elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has increased the budget for preparations and holding presidential elections in Ukraine.
The decision was approved at the commission’s meeting on March 19, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
According to the approved decision, the Central Election Commission amended its budget estimate for preparations and holding presidential elections by UAH 720,000, approximately $27,000.
The CEC explained that an appeal was received from the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine for additional funding to purchase more envelopes to send invitations to voters from foreign polling stations.
Corresponding amendments were also introduced to the state budget of Ukraine.
