Corn Exports Double
Corn exports to the European Union increased four-fold
Ukrainian corn exports more than doubled.
From September to November of 2018, Ukrainian farmers exported 4,663 tons of corn, up 112 percent compared to the same period last year.
“It is also a record high for this period since 2013-2014,” the press service of the UkrAgroConsult consulting agency reports.
Most corn exports are going to the European Union, China and Libya. Ukrainian corn exports to the EU grew more than four-fold compared with the same period last year, while exports to Libya increased by 110 percent. Turkey boosted imports of Ukrainian corn by 125 percent.
