Court Places Two Suspects in Sheremet Murder Case under Arrest

The suspects in the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet, a sergeant in the Special Operations Forces, musician Andriy Antonenko and a cardiac surgeon Yulia Kuzmenko, had been given an arrest for two months.
The decision was made today (Dec. 14) by the judge of the Pechersk district court of Kyiv, Serhii Vovk, Radio Liberty reported.
The suspects had been taken into custody without the possibility of pledging for two months – until Feb. 8.
Earlier, five suspects were named in the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet. A nurse from a combat battalion, a doctor, a musician, and two volunteers were identified during a press briefing by authorities.
A soldier in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yana Duhar, has been given a preventive measure of 24-hour house arrest.
