Crimean Tatar Activist Eden Bekirov in Hospital
The prisoner will remain under the surveillance of Doctors for a two-weeks-long period

On Tuesday, in the annexed Simferopol, Crimean Tatar activist Eden Bekirov was taken from a jail cell to the hospital.
“Eden Bekirov was taken to Semashko’s Simferopol Hospital for a two-week medical examination,” Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova wrote on her Facebook, which linked to lawyer Isliam Veliliayev.
Denisova said that the Russian Ombudsman, Tetiana Moskal’kova, earlier promised that the ailing Bekirov would be take taken to the hospital on Monday.
“We are waiting for the results of the medical examination. We will try to get them as soon as possible and will demand to provide all necessary medical assistance to Eden Bekirov,” Denisova wrote.
