Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur, 17, had a good start in Japan, beating Japan’s Mio Kodzaki in the first round of the ITF World Tennis Tour in Osaka.
The meeting on the court ended with the score 6: 0, 6: 2 in favor of Ukrainian, BTU reported.
Snigur’s next opponent will be South Korea’s Han Na Re.
The tournament will take home $25,000.
Snigur recently took first place in an ITF tournament in the Japanese city of Kashiwa, marking the third professional title of the young athlete’s career.
