EC Appoints New Ukrainian Adviser
The adviser will provide EC President Junker information on Ukraine after the changes in government

The European Commission has appointed Elmar Brok as Special Adviser to President Jean-Claude Juncker on relations with Ukraine.
The spokeswoman of the European Commission, Mina Andreeva, said this during a press briefing, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The European Commission has decided to appoint Mr Elmar Brok, former Member of the European Parliament, as Special Adviser to President Jean-Claude Juncker on relations with Ukraine. This decision takes effect immediately and the position is not remunerated,” states the Daily News update from the European Commission for September 4, 2019.
Brok will advise Junker on strategy and priorities in relations with Ukraine.
Brok has nearly 15 years of experience as Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) in the European Parliament. He will be instrumental in forging links with the new government in Ukraine and identifying the new administration’s priorities and preferences regarding its relations with the EU.
