Ethiopia Calls Ukraine Strategic Partner in Agricultural Sector
Ethiopia and Ukraine have discussion during a roundtable in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine
Ethiopia has called Ukraine a strategic partner in the agricultural sector for 2020.
This was discussed during a roundtable in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, Agroportal.ua reported.
According to a CCI report, the Director General of the Ethiopian Public Procurement Service, Tsevaie Meluné Bachore, stressed the importance of cooperation with Ukraine, as the country’s government has designated Ukraine as a strategic partner for 2020.
It is also noted that Ethiopia is one of Ukraine’s largest trading partners among Sub-Saharan Africa. Ethiopia’s Ukrainian exports to Ethiopia in 2015-2017 were higher than in all other countries in the region — Ethiopia traditionally ranks second or third in terms of mutual trade among these countries. At the same time, the development of bilateral trade and economic relations is marked by a consistently high positive balance in favor of Ukraine.
