Film ‘Homeward’ Wins Grand Prix at Odesa Film Festival

The Ukrainian film ‘Homeward’ by Nariman Aliev and the Georgian film ‘And Then We Danced’ by Levan Akin won the Grand Prix of the 10th Odesa International Film Festival.
‘Homeward’ tells the story of a Crimean Tartar and his two sons, who traveled to Kyiv after Crimea’s occupation by Russia. The story begins with the death of the eldest son Nazim. His father tries to bring home his the younger son Alim and to bury the eldest son in Crimea, according to Muslim traditions.
‘Homeward’ had already won Best Picture at the Bucharest International Film Festival.
