Finland will allocate €600,000 for assistance in the demining operations in Eastern Ukraine, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
Foreign Minister of Finland Pekka Haavisto went to Stanytsia Luhanska on November 2, 2019, where he visited the temporary bridge over the Siversky Donets, which was built while the main road bridge was being repaired.
During the visit, the Minister confirmed an additional contribution of €600,000 to humanitarian mine clearance because the mines in remain a problem and complicate agriculture and construction throughout Donbas.
Finland is involved in the development of Ukraine, supporting energy efficiency and education reform, said Haavisto.
