Ukraine & France Talk Peace Plans
The president is confident that it will be possible to achieve peace in Donbas and this can be done soon

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and French President Emmanuel Macron met to discuss peace plans in Donbas. Ukraine will not retreat from its path towards membership in the European Union and NATO, Poroshenko said during a working visit to France, his press service wrote.
“The first thing we managed to agree on – on April 18, via the Skype-conference of the Trilateral Contact Group, a ceasefire regime will be declared on Easter. Signals will be delivered to the Russian side to create conditions for the immediate, serious, negotiations in the Normandy format on the peace process after the presidential elections,” the statement said.
Poroshenko said that he is confident that it will be possible to achieve peace in Donbas and it can be done in the near future.
