French Delegation Visits Front Line in Donbas

A French delegation, led by French Ambassador to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont, visited the Joint Forces Operation area, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
The delegation visited Hnutove checkpoint. A border guard unit from the Donetsk detachment of the Joint Forces spoke about the peculiarities of the work of all checkpoints along the demarcation line in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
At the Joint Center for Civil-Military Cooperation in Mariupol, the guests from France met with representatives of the civil-military cooperation groups of the JFO.
The French team expressed concerns about the situation of civilians living in the occupied territories.
Dumont stressed that France will continue to support Ukraine in the international arena because it is essential for maintaining security and to defend the norms of international law on the European continent.
“Being here, not far from the front, we want to show that Paris will help Ukraine defend its territorial integrity,” she said.
During a working visit to the Azov Sea region, representatives of the French delegation also visited localities on the demarcation line and talked to local people.
