The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will arrive in Kyiv on Thursday (Nov. 14)
The IMF mission wants to continue the discussion of a new program with Ukrainian officials, Ukrinform reported.
“The mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will arrive in Kyiv to continue the discussion on the possibility of opening a new extended fund facility (EFF) for Ukraine. The IMF mission headed by Ron van Rooden will start working in Kyiv on November 14, 2019,” said IMF Resident Representative to Ukraine, Goesta Ljungman.
The IMF’s previous 14-month Stand-By Arrangement for Ukraine was approved at the end of 2018. It provided for the allocation of three tranches of funds. Ukraine received the first and only IMF tranche under this program on December 21, 2018.
