Italian Low-Cost Airline Opens Kyiv Office
Earnest Airlines said it expects to carry 500,000 Ukrainian passengers this year
Italy’s low-cost Ernest Airlines will open an office in Kyiv this summer.
The company will open a special inquiry service and cash desk for selling tickets at Zhulyany International Airport.
Ernest Airlines said its invested approximately €30 million (about $33.6 million) in the Ukrainian market over the past two years, and in the next two years will invest about €100 million (about $112 million).
In 2020, Earnest plans to locate two planes in Kyiv.
Currently, the airline has a call center in Italy with Ukrainian employees.
This year the company will also open a call center in Ukraine.
The carrier said it transported some 200,000 Ukrainian passengers last year and expects to carry 500,000 this year.
The company connects Kyiv, Kharkov, Odesa and Lviv with various Italian cities.
