Kherson will soon host a land art festival.
This was stated by Oleksandr Semenchenko, a representative of Urban Re-Public, a public organization in Kherson, Ukrinform reported.
Land art uses natural materials, such as branches, tree roots, stones and soil.
“The purpose of the festival is to improve the ecological knowledge of the population, promote land art and detect new talents among Kherson residents,” Semenchenko said.
The event will be held in September at the botanical garden of Kherson State University and also several other locations around the city.
“Before September, land art master classes for children and adults will be held at the botanical garden,” Semenchenko continued.
Semenchenko hopes that this festival will attract many tourists to Kherson.
After the festival, some of the exhibits will remain at the botanical garden, and the rest will be placed in parks.
