Yesterday, Lithuania opened a new consulate in Ternopil.
“This event reaffirms that, despite the difficult circumstances in which our state is located, Ukraine confidently moves towards Europe and integrates into the international community, solves extremely complex issues, and makes investments with investors on further infrastructure development,” Viktor Ovcharuk, the head of the Ternopil Oblast Rada said.
The consulate opening is a testament to the friendly relations between Ukraine and Lithuania, Ovcharuk said, according to a report by Holos Ukraini.
Lithuania Ambassador to Ukraine Marius Janukonis and Lithuanian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Darius Skusavičius said that Ukraine is a friendly country for Lithuania, and their state will always support the aspirations of Ukrainians to be in the family of European nations.
