Lithuania Transfers Ammunition to Ukraine
Nearly a million rounds of ammunition was sent from Lithuania to Ukraine

Lithuania has transferred small arms ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of National Defense of Lithuania has reported according to Ukrinform.
“The transfer of ammunition is part of Lithuania’s consistent and comprehensive support of Ukraine, which strengthens the defense capability and ensures the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state,” Lithuanian Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis said.
Ukrainian Air Force aircraft transported almost a million rounds of Soviet-made small arms ammunition for both rifles and machine guns from Lithuania. The Government of the Republic of Lithuania made the decision to transfer the ammunition in early February. The total cost of the ammunition is €255,500.
