The meeting of Ukrainian officials with the relatives of the captured Ukrainian sailors has ended, the Commissioner for Human Rights, Liudmila Denisova wrote on Facebook.
Representatives from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and public authorities, and lawyers who were present at the meeting, informed the relatives about all the measures that were taken to get the hostages home.
The authorities answered all the relatives’ questions.
According to Denisova, the health of the wounded remains one of the main issues.
“Neither I nor the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights) have yet received official medical information confirmed by medical certificates about the health of the wounded,” Denisova said.
Next week, the commissioner plans to visit Moscow, where she will meet her Russian counterpart Tatiana Moskalkova, Head of the Council on Human Rights Mihail Fedotov, and Head of Russian Security Service Aleksandr Bortnik.
