More Protections for Travelers
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers increased the licensing requirements for tour operators
To protect travelers using tour operators, Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers adopted amendments to the license conditions, increasing tour operators’ responsibilities.
“With these changes, we oblige tour operators to have constant financial support for tourists and to work as openly as possible in the legal field,” First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv said.
Now, tour operators must check the departure time of flights 8 hours and 2 hours before departures. In the case of a delay of more than 4 hours, the tour operator should place information about the delay on its website.
Tour operators must also provide the necessary information about the travel agents with whom they work, and provide accessibility for people with limited mobility to the places where they’ll stay.
