NASA Presents Study on Global Climate Change

Last five years set new record of the growth of the annual average temperature

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has presented a study on the annual change of the temperature on Earth, korrespondent.net reported.

According to scientists, 2016 became the hottest in the last 139 years. The average temperature on the Earth’s surface during this period was almost a degree higher than the normal level indicated by scientists.

In 2017, the average surface temperature of the Earth was 0.91°C higher than the annual average temperature in the middle of the last century, and in 2018, 0.83°C.

According to NASA, the last five years set the new record, among which 2018 takes fourth place. And the only year when the growth of the temperature was lower remains 2014 when the growth amounted to 0.74°C.
