New Solar Plant Planned for Zhytomyr Region

The solar plant is to be built by a Turkish company

In April, the Turkish company MNG plans to build a 5 megawatt solar power plant in the Zhytomyr region.
“Chairman of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration Vitaliy Bunechko signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Turkish company MNG on the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 5 megawatts in Bronykivska united territorial community, Zhytomyr region,” the press service of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration stated.

The investor say the solar plant will create about 20 new jobs, as well as develop the social sector and to help build, rebuild and expand infrastructure facilities in the Bronykivska united territorial community.

The construction of the solar power plant will begin in April 2020. It will cost about $5 million.
