Nine Attacks on Ukrainian Troops in Donbas
One Russian-backed militant was killed and two were wounded by the Ukrainian defenders
Russian-backed militants attacked Ukrainian positions in Donbas nine times on Sunday.
While there were no Ukrainian casualties, according to intelligence, one militant was killed and two were wounded in the attacks, three of which were with banned weapons.
In the east part of the conflict zone, militants fired 120mm mortars and tripod-mounted antitank guns at Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka, heavy machine guns and small arms outside Opytne, 82mm mortars in the area of Hnutove, and small arms near Krasnohorivka, the press center of Ukraine’s JFO (Joint Forces Operation) Headquarters said.
In the north, the militants used 82mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to shell Ukrainian troops in the area of Pivdenne, hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms near Krymske, heavy machine guns near Staryi Aidar, and heavy machine guns and small arms near Svitlodarsk.
