Successful Village: UATV’s New Series Highlights Rural Ukraine
The series is comprised of six episodes - unique stories from rural Ukraine
Today (Oct. 7) UATV is launching a series of stories called “Successful Village” dedicated to the features and achievements of Ukrainian towns and villages.
The series is comprised of six episodes – unique stories from rural Ukraine – made by UATV’s regional offices.
“We set the goal to show Ukrainian villages to the world. (The goal is) to show how much effort has been put in in order to implement certain innovative projects in rural areas, for example, that have no parallels in (large) cities around Ukraine. We discovered truly unique places — small residential areas that’ve made huge breakthroughs!” Head of the Regional Network of the Information Broadcasting Office Kristina Isaian said.
Among the topics that UATV will be covering in this series, will be how decentralization reforms have impacted the lives of rural residents. Along with presenting a picture of life in the Amalgamated Territorial Communities (ATCs), viewers will also be able to see places where reforms haven’t yet been implemented.
UATV viewers will have an opportunity to watch folks dressed up like fairy tale characters in the Vinnytsia region, see farmers cultivating unique Crimean grapes in the Chernihiv region, and even visit a school with its own observatory in the Dnipro region.
