Oleksandr Yefremov Released, Put Under House Arrest
The former chair of the Party of Regions was detained in 2016
The former member of Parliament, former chair of the Party of Regions faction, Oleksandr Yefremov has been released from detention by the decision of Kyiv’s Court of Appeal, with the change of the level of restriction from the pre-trial detention to house arrest, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Larysa Sarhan, wrote on Facebook.
“There is another news: by the Kyiv’s Court of Appeals decision, the interim measure for Oleksandr Yefremov is changed to round-the-clock house arrest,” she wrote.
Yefremov was detained on July 30, 2016. He is suspected of infringement of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
