Poland Participates in Commemoration of Soviet Victims of Repression
Ukraine pays tribute and remembers victims of Soviet brutality on the third Sunday of each May

The Pole, who also lost their elite and others to repression, the tragedy of the Ukrainian people with the brutal rule of the totalitarian Soviet regime.
The Embassy of Poland in Ukraine posted this on Twitter.
“Today is the day of memory of victims of political repression. Let us give honor to the victims of totalitarianism. Poles understand well the tragedy of people who, as a result of repression, have lost its elite,” the post reads.
The post also mentioned the joint commemoration at Bykivnia Graves where the remains of victims of the totalitarian regime are buried.
Ukraine remembers the victims of repression on the third Sunday of every May. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will attend a ceremony commemorating the victims at the National Historic Memorial Bykivnia Graves. The President, along with the Ambassador of Poland, will also lay a wreath at the Polish military cemetery.
