Poland Passes Mazur Over to Ukrainian Consulate

Ihor Mazur, who was detained in Poland at the request of Russia, was bailed out by the Consul of Ukraine.
“The court on the election of a preventive measure to Ihor Mazur will not take place. An employee of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights was handed over on bail of the Consul General of Ukraine in Lublin,” stated Ukrainian Ombudsman, Lyudmila Denisova.
Mazur, a Ukrainian activist, was detained in Poland at Moscow’s request.
Along with being a public activist, Mazur was also a participant of the Russian-Ukrainian war in Donbas.
A Russian investigative committee put Mazur on an international wanted list on charges of participating in the battles on Minutka Square in the city of Grozny during the First Chechen War, the UNA-UNSO (the Ukrainian National Assembly – Ukrainian People’s Self-Defense) states.
Mazur was in Poland by the invitation of Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, Beata Mazurek.
