Police Detain Suspects in Murder of Amina Okueva
The Maidan activist was assassinated and her husband was injured

Law enforcement officers detained the alleged murderers of a Ukrainian doctor and public activist Amina Okueva, the prosecutor’s office of Kyiv region wrote on its official Facebook page.
According to the prosecutor’s report, the assassins were members of a criminal organization of killers and who were also involved in two other murder cases which were committed in September 2016 and January 2019.
“At present, investigative actions are ongoing, measures are being taken to apprehend all participants of a criminal organization and establish customers,” the message reads.
The Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, wrote on Facebook that the data of the DNA test from the shotgun fits the DNA taken from the suspects.
On October 30, 2017, near the village of Glevakha, Kyiv region, unknown people fired on the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and the war in eastern Ukraine, spouses Amina Okueva and Adam Osmaev.
The assassination was performed in a military-style ambush when the couple were in their car which had slowed down at a railroad crossing. A 7.62 caliber automatic shotgun blast killed Okueva and injured her husband in the leg.
