“Associated Trio” to discuss cooperation for European integration in Georgia
The main topic to be discussed by the presidents of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova in Batumi is cooperation on the way to EU membership. The leaders want to move together towards the EU and help each other along the way.

It is the first meeting of the presidents in the frameworks of the “Associated Trio”. The foreign ministers of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova signed a corresponding agreement on the creation of such an association in May 2021.
The main slogan of this meeting is “Three countries – one choice”. The block was created for closer cooperation on European integration. Countries want to help each other carry out reforms needed to join the European Union. Zelenskyy, Sandu and Zourabichvili to sign a general declaration of the summit following the meeting.
President of the European Council Charles Michel has also arrived in Georgia. He has already met with Georgian parliamentarians.
After arrival, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the contact line with Russian-occupied Abkhazia. He passed the Inguri bridge, which today is the only checkpoint in the region.
Earlier, the heads of government of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova signed a joint appeal to the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
