EU calls on Russia to withdraw its armed forces from Ukrainian border
Russia has to withdraw its troops from the Ukrainian border. This was stated on April 19 by EU High Commissioner on foreign affairs and security policy Josep Borrel in his video address before the talks of the foreign ministers of the EU member-states, UATV informs.
“The situation is very alarming, and we call Russia to withdraw its forces from Ukraine’s border”, – Borrel stressed.
The diplomat noted that the relations between EU and Russia become more and more challenging in many directions.
Besides, Ukrainian foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba will be present at the EU Council’s meeting as well. He’s going to inform his colleagues about the situation on Ukrainian-Russian border.
The participants of the talk will also discuss the situation with exclusion of the Russian diplomats from Czech Republic, and imprisonment of the Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny.
To remind, the OSCE has recently observed redeployment of the Russian military equipment in Donbas.
