Medvedchuk’s house arrest was extended for 2 months



The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has extended the round-the-clock house arrest of Viktor Medvedchuk, an MP from the “Opposition Platform for Life” parliamentary faction, who is suspected of treason. The arrest will last until September 7.

UA informs this citing the Ukrinform agency.

“To apply a measure of restraint in the form of round-the-clock house arrest, banning from leaving the place of residence for a period of up to 09.07.2021 inclusive” – the judge said.

The court hearing has begun on July 8th.
