Carrying out reforms in Ukraine is one of the ways to protect against external aggression, says President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He stated this in an interview with La Repubblica, informs UATV with reference to the Office of the President.
Ukraine is conducting reforms despite the fighting in Donbas.
“Peace is in most of the territory of our state, the democratic system is preserved. Ukraine is actively transforming, despite all the threats. Therefore, the implementation of reforms in our country is also one of the instruments of protection,” the president said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that there are things in which Ukraine is behind some of the former Soviet Union countries.
“On the other hand, it also creates additional opportunities: investing in our country is now as profitable as it was profitable to do in other countries of eastern Europe when they moved to the European Union. When markets have not yet been formed and assets are undervalued, you can earn more by investing in growth ” the head of state stated.
He recalled that Ukraine is actively pursuing land reform, modernizing the financial sector, updating infrastructure, and developing a concession instrument.
