Ukraine would be an important topic of negotiations between Biden and Putin, – Kuleba
During the Biden-Putin meeting, which will take place on June 16 in Geneva, Ukraine will be an important topic. However, no agreements can be reached without it.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, UA informs.
According to the Foreign Minister, it was no coincidence that the US President suggested his Russian counterpart to meet exactly during the largest escalation in recent years by the Kremlin along the Ukrainian borders and in the occupied territories.
“We do not see the risk that during this meeting some kind of agreement on Ukraine will be reached behind our back. We conveyed to our partners that no agreements on Ukraine, reached without Ukraine, will not be recognized by us”, – the Minister of Foreign Affairs summed up.
Biden arrived in Geneva, where he meets with Putin on June 16. This will be their first meeting since Biden took office in January 2021.
