US may appoint special representative for Donbas issues, – Yermak
The possible appointment of a special representative of the United States of America on Donbas issues was announced by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak. It is reported by UATV with reference to Liga.net.
Answering a question about American support that could help end the conflict with Russia, Yermak said that the appointment of such a representative is already being actively discussed.
“If we talk about concrete steps, today we are discussing the appointment of a US special representative to stop the war in Donbas. It is very important that such a person appears”, said the head of the President’s Office.
At the same time, annual military help to Ukraine increased to $ 300 million.
Yermak also added that Ukraine is now discussing with the United States closer cooperation in the military-defense sphere and the possibility of obtaining a Membership Action Plan in NATO.
The United States promised Ukraine additional assistance to defend against Russian aggression.
