US Secretary of State can visit Ukraine in May
United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken can visit Ukraine in May. It is reported by CNN with reference to a source in the Ukrainian government, UATV informs.
The visit of the head of the US Foreign Ministry to Ukraine is a positive signal of support for the country. It will also become a platform for preparing a possible meeting between the presidents of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the United States Joe Biden during the American president’s summer tour of Europe.
“Some officials, in particular in Ukraine, are wary of the upcoming Biden-Putin summit. Ukrainian source expressed hope that Biden will find time to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the eve of talks with Putin,” writes CNN.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed to join the United States, Britain and Canada to the negotiations on the Donbas.
