About a dozen protesters went out in Odesa with similar claims.
The protest was organized by the NGO “Foundation for Regional Initiatives.” FRI announced rallies in support of Hryb in Lviv and Kharkiv as well.
As we reported earlier, a Russian court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Hryb to six years in prison on March 22.
Hryb declared a hunger strike in an act of protest. According to Ukrinform, Russian prison workers claim that Hryb has not complained about his health, and has not announced a hunger strike.
The seriously ill Ukrainian was abducted on August 24 2017, in the city of Gomel in Belarus.
Later it was found that he was accused of alleged “terrorism” and detained in the Russian city of Krasnodar.
He disappeared when he went to meet with a young woman who he had met online. According to the Ukrinform article, she later confessed that she was forced to invite Hryb to Belarus by FSB officers.
