US Launches Spy Satellite

The satellite was delivered with a Delta IV Heavy space rocket

On Saturday morning, the American company United Launch Alliance launched a Delta IV Heavy space rocket with an intelligence satellite on the board.

The 71-meter rocket was launched from the U.S. Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, United Launch Alliance wrote on Twitter.

The reconnaissance satellite NROL-71 for the National Reconnaissance Office will be monitored by the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).

The next Delta IV rocket launch is scheduled for March 13.
