Russian Controlled Forces Launch 24 Attacks in Donbas Over Past Day

Weapons banned by the Minsk agreements were used 11 times

Forces controlled by Russia violated the ceasefire 24 times, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements 11 times, in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy fired 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, heavy machine guns, and small arms on the units of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’:

  • 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems near Taramchuk (29km southwest of Donetsk);
  • Small arms fire outside Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol);
  • 120mm and 82mm mortars in the area of Novoselivka Druha (36km northeast of Mariupol);
  • Grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns on the outskirts of Pisky (11km northwest of Donetsk);
  • Heavy machine gun and small arms fire near Pyshchevyk (25km northeast of Mariupol);
  • 120mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, heavy machine gun and small arms fire outside Marinka (23km southwest of Donetsk);
  • Grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine gun and small arms fire near Hnutove (20km northeast of Mariupol);
  • Grenade launchers of different systems, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles and small arms fire in the area of Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk);
  • 122mm artillery systems on the outskirts of Chermalyk (31km northeast of Mariupol);
  • Automatic grenade launchers and small arms fire near Novomykhailivka (28km southwest of Donetsk);
  • Grenade launchers and small arms fire outside Berezove (31km southwest of Donetsk).

In the zone of action of tactical force ‘North’:

  • 120mm mortars and automatic grenade launchers near Novoluhanske (53km northeast of Donetsk);
  • 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine gun and small arms fire outside Zaitseve (50km northeast of Donetsk);
  • 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine gun fire near Luhanske (59km northeast of Donetsk);
  • 120mm mortars and grenade launchers of different systems in the area of Svitlodarsk (57km northeast of Donetsk).

One Ukrainian soldier was killed, another two were wounded during the attacks.

Ukrainian forces counterattacked in line with the Minsk agreements.

According to the intelligence, three Russian controlled fighters were killed and four more were wounded on July 11, 2019.
