Russian Occupation Forces Launch 24 Attacks in Donbas Over Past Day

Weapons banned by the Minsk agreements were used seven times

Russian occupation forces violated the ceasefire 24 times, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements seven times, in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy fired 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms on the units of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’:

  • 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk);
  • Grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol);
  • Automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms outside Pisky (11km northwest of Donetsk);
  • 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms in the area of Pavlopol (25km northwest of Mariupol);
  • Mounted antitank grenade launchers and small arms near Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk) and Marinka (23km southwest of Donetsk);
  • Grenade launchers of different systems and small arms outside Hnutove (20km northeast of Mariupol);
  • Automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms – in the area of Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of tactical force ‘North’:

  • 122mm artillery systems near Popasna (69km west of Luhansk);
  • Grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms on the outskirts of Krymske (42km northwest of Luhansk);
  • Small arms in the area of Hladosove (51km northeast of Donetsk);
  • 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems , heavy machine guns outside Zolote (60km west of Luhansk);
  • Weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms near Novoluhanske (53km northeast of Donetsk);
  • 82mm mortars, mounted antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms on the outskirts of Pivdenne (40km northeast of Donetsk).

Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded during these attacks. The Joint Forces adequately returned fire in line with the Minsk agreements in response.

According to intelligence, two occupation forces were killed and seven more were wounded on June 11, 2019.
