During two days of the Sea Breeze 2019 drills, a special unit of warfare marine crafts worked out joint actions in the Black Sea northwestern waters, Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.
A Pryluky missile boat of Ukrainian Navy Forces (Matka class boat under the NATO classification) spearheaded the group. Three boats from Odesa marine defense detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, two small artillery boats Akerman and Vyshhorod of the Navy, as well as the Romanian missile corvette Lastunul and the Georgian coast guard craft Ochamcheli, participated in the training.
The ships worked out elements of tactical maneuvering, sailing in various orders, shooting with high-speed and small-scale targets, carried out artillery shootings and performed a number of other tasks.
“These two days show a high level of coherence. There were no problems or misunderstandings with our foreign partners during the joint performance of a large number of tasks,” Captain rank III, commander of the missile boat Pryluky, Volodymyr Uhlinskyi, said after training.
Earlier, aviation training was completed in the Mykolaiv region.
