Soldier Wounded in Donbas
Russian-backed militants fired automatic mounted grenade launchers, automatic small arms, and sniper weapons at Ukrainian troops
While the Central Election Commission tallied the final votes in Ukraine’s presidential election, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded as Russian occupation forces launched two attacks on troops in Donbas.
On Sunday, in the northern conflict zone, the Russian-backed militants fired automatic mounted grenade launchers, automatic small arms, and sniper weapons at Ukrainian positions near Katerynivka, Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation headquarters reports. Ukrainian troops returned fire.
The Russian-backed forces also used small arms to shell Ukrainian troops near the area of separation of troops and equipment outside Stanytsia Luhanska. Ukrainian troops did not return fire there.
