Suspect in Sheremet Murder Case Placed under House Arrest

A suspect in the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet, a soldier in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yana Duhar, has been given a preventive measure of 24-hour house arrest.
The decision was made today (Dec. 13) by the judge of the Pechersk district court of Kyiv, Serhii Vovk, Radio Liberty reported.
It was precisely such a measure that prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, representing the prosecution, requested. The suspect will be arrested at the place of residence in Novomoskovsk, Dnipropetrovsk region.
Earlier, five suspects were named in the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet. A nurse from a combat battalion, a doctor, a musician, and two volunteers were identified during a press briefing by authorities.
