Nord Stream 2 and meeting of Biden with Putin – what should Ukraine expect
Russia announced the readiness of the first line of the Nord Stream 2. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, it will be possible to deliver gas in two months. This is informed by the UATV.
For Ukraine, the completion of the construction of Nord Stream 2 poses threats, because under the contract, gas should be supplied to Europe through Ukraine for several more years. The Ukrainian authorities believe that sabotage is possible to disrupt these agreements.
“We expect that there will be provocations and there will be attempts of terrorist attacks on our sections of gas pipelines in order to let gas through Nord Stream 2. We have enough information from intelligence agencies”, – Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said.
Meanwhile, the international media are discussing topics leaders of the United States and Russia, Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin, will talk about at the upcoming meeting. Among the issues is the concentration of Russian troops on the Ukrainian borders.
Earlier, in Belarus, after a meeting with Putin, Alexander Lukashenko started threatening NATO with Russian troops. They noted in the Alliance that they are seriously concerned about such cooperation between Russia and Belarus, and if necessary, NATO is ready to defend its allies.
