The Russian Federation should stop the occupation of Ukraine, – US State Department
Russia must fulfill its international obligations, end the illegal occupation of Crimea and cease hostilities in Donbas. This was announced by the press secretary of the US Department of State Ned Price on Twitter, UATV reports.
“Russia should fulfill its obligations according to the Minsk agreements and stop the conflict in eastern Ukraine. It must also end its illegal occupation of Crimea”, – the US State Department spokesman said.
He also cited a statement by Secretary of State Antony Blinken that the international community should work together to hold Russia accountable for its actions.
“We should work together to point out to Russia its behavior, hold the Russian Federation accountable for actions and make Moscow adhere to its international obligations”, – Blinken emphasized in this context.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is on a visit to the UK in order to attend the G7 meeting at the level of foreign ministers. Also this week he will visit Ukraine and will hold a number of meetings.
