The situation with COVID-19 in the world has stabilized – WHO
Michael Ryan, Executive Director of WHO Health Emergencies Program, said the coronavirus situation in the world has stabilized over the past few weeks.
He said this at a briefing, Ukrinform reports.
“If to look at the graph, over the past few weeks, we can see that there has been a kind of stabilization, but it has happened at a very high level” – Ryan said.
He added that now the situation with the spread of COVID-19 in the world is better than some 2 to 3 months ago.
According to a WHO representative, in some countries there is a decrease in the incidence, at the same time there are those in which the high number of new cases of COVID-19 is recorded. In his opinion, this is due to the emergence of more infectious strains, softening of quarantine restrictions and increase in the number of contacts between people.
Earlier, the government approved the implementation of COVID certificates in Ukraine.
