The West will not allow new hostilities in Ukraine, – Macron
Russia should ensure de-escalation of tensions in the territories bordering Ukraine. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron, UATV informs.
Macron also noted that sanctions against the Russian Federation are necessary. However, he is sure that sanctions are not the solution to all problems.
“The current situation is unacceptable. Russia should de-escalate. The current situation and the level of tension on the border are absolutely counterproductive and unacceptable,” the French president said.
He noted that it is necessary to strengthen the diplomatic agenda.
“The United States, Europe should be very specific in relation to Russia. We will never allow new military operations in Ukraine,” Emmanuel Macron stressed.
