Svitolina Retains 6th Spot in WTA Rankings
Ukraine's top female tennis player will play in Rome this week

Ukraine’s No.1 tennis player Elina Svitolina has retained the sixth spot in the ranking of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) updated on May 13.
WTA ranking is headed by Naomi Osaka from Japan (6,356), Simona Halep from Romania (6,117), Angelique Kerber from Germany (5,285), Kiki Bertens from the Netherlands (5,115), and Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic (5,050). Elina Svitolina ranks sixth with 4,866 points, Ukrinform reports.
In the WTA ranking, Ukraine’s Lesya Tsurenko (1,767) retained her 26th spot and Dayana Yastremska (1,319) fell to the 41st spot. Kateryna Kozlova (840) climbed 19 positions to the 66th spot.
This week Svitolina, Tsurenko, Yastremska will take part in the WTA Premier 5 in Rome, Italy. The tournament prize fund is $3.453 million.
