Svitolina Returns to Top 3 in WTA Ranking
Fellow Ukrainian Dayana Yastremskaya, for the first time in her career, reached 30th place
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina – Ukraine’s “First Racket” – returned to the top three in the World Tennis Association (WTA) world ranking.
The last time Svitolina placed in the top three was October 2017.
Svitolina climbed two steps to take the 3rd place in the world.
Fellow Ukrainian Dayana Yastremskaya, for the first time in her career, reached 30th place.
Les Tsurenko, who hasn’t played for some time due to an injury dropped down to 68th place on the list, having lost 28 lines.
In the top hundred of the WTA ranking is also Kateryna Kozlova, who is in the 74th position (+2).
Marina Chernysheva, thanks to her victory at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament in the Croatian capital of Zagreb, was able to improve her position by 120 steps and moved from 400th to 280th.
